Elk Country Visitor Center
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is proud to partner with the Keystone Elk Country Alliance in the creation of the Elk Country Visitor Center. Opened in September 2010, the Center is an ongoing example of a true public and private success story. Together, they’re committed to sustaining Pennsylvania’s majestic elk habitat, as part of the overall preservation and enhancement of our state’s natural resources. Winslow Hill Elk Viewing Area
The most popular elk-viewing site in Pennsylvania, Winslow Hill provides two viewing areas with off-road parking. Listen for the famous bugling of the male elk during August-October, as the elk are in rut during this time of the year. Many trails and dirt roads are available for exploration. Wildlife includes white-tailed deer, black bear, and fox. Wild Turkeys, Eastern Towhees, and various songbirds are found throughout Winslow Hill. Horse Drawn Wagon Rides

Pennsylvania Great Outdoors
Northwest Pennsylvania’s Great Outdoors helps promote area businesses and events. Although they also have members in various Northwestern Pennsylvania counties, NWPAGO is the official tourism promotion agency for Cameron, Clarion, Elk, Forest, and Jefferson counties operating under the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (visitPA.com). They are a non-profit, membership-based organization promoting attributes of the region as an ideal destination for outdoor recreation. Elk Country Alliance
They are a Pennsylvania based 501(c)(3) non-profit wildlife conservation organization that operates/manages the Elk Country Visitor Center and the surrounding properties to benefit the future of Elk Country, and the enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Their guests have enjoyed conservation education programs provided by KECA, our 4D story theater, their new ECCO Building (Elk Country Campus Outdoors Building) which is available for programs and events, the interactive displays and diorama in the heart of the Visitor Center as well as the hundreds of wild elk that call the property surrounding the Visitor Center home. The Iron Elk
Meyer Welding is the areas number one fabricator of Wrought Iron pieces. The store is located in Grant PA, just past Benezette, along the PA Elk Corridor. This unique Wrought Iron Store is a must visit while viewing the free roaming elk herd and other area attractions. They specialize in Wrought Iron Gates built to your specifications. If you can imagine it, Ken can fabricate it. Kens wife, Sue, owns and operates “Grants Pass Antiques & Wrought Iron” which is located at the same location.
